LA FIBRE DOUBLE FIL

Double Fil is a French brand of handmade textiles.
I meticulously make all my pieces in my workshop in Carrières-sur-Seine, in the Paris region, as part of an eco-responsible approach.
Because Double Fil is produced locally and by hand, we're not aiming for a production line cycle, but rather to produce high-quality pieces at a fair price.
The raw materials are chosen with the greatest care, combining silk, cotton and wood. In keeping with the spirit of reusing materials, the cotton in my creations is made from recycled fibres from French cotton mills. As for the silk, it is collected from recycling centres and markets dedicated to the reuse of textiles.
So you can find in your linings materials of excellence from the great Houses of Haute Couture, involving the production of small series or even one-off pieces.
Crochet and sewing were an obvious choice, recalling the techniques of our grandmothers and, for Double Fil in particular, the skills of my grandmother Antoinette and her sister Bérénice.
It is in direct line with this heritage that I wish to perpetuate, through Double Fil, a whole part of the history of textiles and crafts.
